Our old MC-86 with 15M control takes G84.2 for rigid tap.

    VDI-40 alignment

The holders for my Mazak SQT have a pin on the holder that fits in a bore on the turret. The pins are eccentric so you can rotate the pin for alignment.

3" od stock in lathe with 2" bore

I have a part made from 3" tube 6061. Turn and bore 7" deep. I run bored soft jaws and hold about 1" in the jaws. You could start with something like that and make as many out of the chunk as you could, then change jaws and run all the 1" ends. I would not do that with UHMW though. I have only...

    Bar feeder alignment/use?

We have 532nm green lasers that you can see the beam the distance of the loader. I have used it to set up 12' mag loaders on 5 different swiss machines, and 1 LNS hydrobar. Being able to see the beam helps alot. If we didn't have the lasers already, I would use the string method.

    Bar feeder alignment/use?

We make a laser for lining up telescopes. They have 6 adjusting screws to align the laser body with the housing we make for it. The housing has a 1-1/4" and a 2" outside diameter. They work great for lining up bar feeders. I just chuck it up and dial in the feeder.

    Why Horizontal Mill??

HMC is production oriented, but I will put 1 or 2 piece jobs on it over a VMC any day. The HMC seems a little daunting, but in reality it is the same as a VMC. You still have to have tools in it and touched off. You have to set you work zero. After you get used to it a little it really is not...

    G54 work offset

My post is related to a mill. On a lathe it is a little different. Are you using a tool setter in the machine? Bar work with the same collet nose or chuck with soft jaws? It can be a bad idea to load the offset if you are boring soft jaws. Especially if the jaws are rebored frequently. Probably...

    G54 work offset

I do this with one small change. I assign my positions to #100, #101, etc. Then #5221=#100, etc. I started doing it this way on a horizontal pallet machine, so I assign all the positions to the #100's then run the main that has the #5221 assign that value to the offset. Then I reassign all the...

    Iemca protected parameters

Working on getting a new to me Iemca working on my Citizen L25. Loader is a 2003 Boss 432 with the hand held pendant. When the bar finishes, the loader retracts and ejects the remnant fine. The new bar is dropped into the channels and then I get an alarm. Alarm 2, bar pusher wrong move. Book...

    Iemca 432 guide channels

I just bought a used Iemca mini boss 432 bar loader for my Citizen L25. The loader came in with a 21mm channel set, I need to find a 26mm guide channel set. Anyone know where to find these. I have called Bucci in NC, and currently waiting on them. Does anyone know where else to get them or have...

    Free Collets and Guide Bushings

Thanks, those are not the same collet. If you don't get anyone wanting them I would be interested in the guide bushings. Those will fit.

    Free Collets and Guide Bushings

I can't seem to find what collets that machine takes. Looks like the guide bushing may be a CD25? That will fit my citizen L25, but not sure about the collets. Are the collets TF30 by chance?
