Makes sense, what is funny, there weren't even any chips clogging it up. It looked like 20 year old coolant goopy shit in there. It looked like when I have to clean the shower drain. Quite disgusting.

quick update, took the coolant block off that presses against the turret, cleaned it out and lots of pressure now. all is good. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for all the pointers, I'm out of town until next week but I'll look further into it and report back what I find. Maybe it'll help someone else in the future.

I thought about it, but I kinda wanted a tool I could leave setup, was easier to get lined up, etc. I could have just used an end mill as a plunge and boring bar if sorts. Used to do it all the time on my manual lathe. Buy the dcmt is working great. Got the part side done last night.

too late, dude took my offer of $35 haha. I think I have it figured out tho, I got my DCMT setup right, ground some relief in the holder and the seat shim. I will have this tool for future use now.
