Fanuc 32i: Parameter to change Txxxx behavior

This is how Swiss are still programmed today. At least, how I program them, I can't speak for everyone, everywhere.

Fanuc 32i: Parameter to change Txxxx behavior

I read on PM a long time ago that a guy tried T0 on a lathe and it sent his turret into "fan mode", just continuously changing tool stations. No idea if it's true or not, but it gave me a really funny mental image.

    Who makes best 5c collets

email orders@hardinge.com and tell them you'd like a set of 5c collets (or whatever sizes you need) but you'd like them to have the sizes engraved rather than laser marked. They'll do it. They've made me all SORTS of oddball stuff over the years, and the upcharge for "specials" on things that...

For small diameter stuff (big to me, but small to you guys, .5" 3/8", etc) the Stubby carbide boring bars from NTM have done well for me.

    New to me day!

As someone who is 5'3... I can tell you they're not made for people my size. It's a struggle to put a heavy tool into the spindle on most CAT50 VMCs because it's too far away from the operator door. You'd think the Swiss I work with would be great for a small guy. Sure, it's nice to be small...

If it makes you feel better, today was tuna salad sandwiches... Nobody wanted that, so we went to Publix and got Chicken Tender sandwiches. Had to pay for my own lunch today. Weird.

Well today was Sloppy Joes on brioche w/ sausage soup, and beet salad. The sausage soup was cold. It was a real bummer.
