    What have I done!! 😵‍💫

Finished my 500 pc job today. How exhausting. Ended up being about 1 min 4 sec op1. So I couldn't even do anything while parts were going. Just had to stand there. Then, op2 was a simple chamfer but had to be done to get the parting burr off. About 5 sec cycle time. Even more exhausting. Just...

    Lathe Coolant Pressure Problem

Makes sense, what is funny, there weren't even any chips clogging it up. It looked like 20 year old coolant goopy shit in there. It looked like when I have to clean the shower drain. Quite disgusting.

    Lathe Coolant Pressure Problem

So I finally got around to cleaning out and filling up my coolant tank. Needed it yesterday to keep parts cool while parting. Below is a video of it running. Clearly it is messed up somewhere, but I don't know what exactly the problem could be. I cleaned the tank, cleared the hose from the...

    Face Counterbore Tool?

I thought about it, but I kinda wanted a tool I could leave setup, was easier to get lined up, etc. I could have just used an end mill as a plunge and boring bar if sorts. Used to do it all the time on my manual lathe. Buy the dcmt is working great. Got the part side done last night.

    Face Counterbore Tool?

Perfect, I appreciate the help. It just donned on me to put a stick tool holder where the boring bar holders go to get my DCMNT holder at a better angle to the face. Maybe that will work. I also found this, but can't for the life of me figure out how to order it. Guess I will call a local...

    Face Counterbore Tool?

I could also just throw it in the mill as op 2 requires milling anyways, but the counterbore wall has a taper so it needs to be turned and I also don't want it to have end mill machining lines all over the face. It isn't critical, but I don't like the way it looks.

    Face Counterbore Tool?

What tool do I need? I can't find what I have pictured in my head. I need to face a few parts that have a .050" deep counterbore so I can't just come across like a normal facing pass. I feel like I need a VNMG or similar tool holder that has the insert hanging out like 90 degrees from the...
