I just got my new to me L25. The whole knock out assembly is gone. The seller said they never had it. I need the flange that bolts to the back of the sub, the pneumatic cylinder, and the tube that blows air and pushes the part out. Anyone know where I can get it?

Thanks

can you make one? I have an older f12 the cylinder should be the same I can get the numbers off if need be.

if you have the schematics for your machine you should be able to get part numbers and where to hook up.
other than that ebay from time to time has parts and that Place in colorado called automatics something has a shitpot of swiss machines and machine parts.

Making one is an option. I would have to source a pneumatic cylinder to move the air blow back and forth, and some fittings that can adjust the flow. I will email Automatics and Machinery, thanks.

I haven't contacted Automatics and Machinery in ages, but I remember their response time and prices to be utterly insane. Hopefully that has changed. Agree to keep checking E-bay, that will be the luck of the draw. Hopefully if all else fails someone produces a drawing for the needed items or can make one up if they have the same machine.

Sorry, I just went through the manual I have, and it doesn't give any dimensions for those. Your best bet is to buy one of each from your Citizen distributor and then make your own drawings to make/purchase extras in the future. Unless you happen to know somebody with the same machine. Sadly, we got rid of our L25s, so I can't help you.

The tube that does the pushing and puts out air is funnily enough called a knock out pipe, because it is literally a piece of pipe.

How is Citizen on pricing for spare parts? Star even adds zeros to the price of common off the shelf items.

They're.... just a little north of fair. We buy OEM mainly because that's what we do, but I've had several replacement parts made for 1/2ish their price, but I had to have the first one to reverse engineer. The upside is, almost everything is in stock, even if it's in Japan, even for old machines, in my experience, which makes them miles ahead of Star.

The problem with Star on top of ridiculous pricing is ordering from them is a time consuming PITA. They make COD customers fill out a credit application for every purchase, and you have to select what you want from an exploded drawing that looks like it is a mimeograph copy. Most people don't mind paying more for convenience, with Star you pay more for inconvenience. I always wonder why Citizen hasn't put Star out of business. Since I never was involved in purchasing new machines when working for the man, and since going on my own I have paid cash for used machines I have no idea how Citizen and Star compare on price with similar models and options. I am assuming Stars must be considerably cheaper.
