Yes, I think it was Dieco that made it.Nice!! Devices with similar function are used in machine tool factories for gently setting and lifting components during fitting/assembly.
I don’t know the brand(s), but saw and used soft lift and lower hoist attachments at Makino and Mori factories.Yes, I think it was Dieco that made it.
However you could only use it to lower down.
Mine allows you to jack it back up.
How much did they cost ?I don’t know the brand(s), but saw and used soft lift and lower hoist attachments at Makino and Mori factories.
I have one of those, but enerpac. You could buy a HF Pullback cylinder and a hand pump too:

Yes, the problem is where to keep the pump.I have one of those, but enerpac.
I have some hydraulic pistons that have an acme screw and a handwheel instead of a rod. They were part of a dyno cell for testing winches where they were used to control the brake calipers on large spinning discs.Yes, the problem is where to keep the pump.
I guess you could tye wrap it alongside the cylinder, and use steel tubing to the cylinder.
Torqueing them whilst hanging from a swivel hook looks like a problem.I have some hydraulic pistons that have an acme screw and a handwheel instead of a rod. They were part of a dyno cell for testing winches where they were used to control the brake calipers on large spinning discs.
Something like that would work OK, especially for lighter loads.
No idea. I was just there for training courses on how they build and fit machines. How much did they cost ?
