Are you challenged by your current position? Have you stopped learning and tired of sweating in a non airconditioned shop? Check out the Machinist opportunities with Muncie Power, https://www.munciepower.com. We offer competitive pay, stability ( no layoffs in company history) and a brand new climate controlled facility built in North Tulsa. For more information, go to www.munciepower.com OR email me Mike Williams at mwilliams@munciepower.com. Note: Muncie will pay up to $29.00 an hour, dependent upon experience.

Huh... Doesn't sound that great, but cost of living calculator says it's not awful...

Maybe if you had a Muncie transmission in an old muscle car back in the day you would think differently. Also a lot of places you don't have to go too far out of the city for rents and home prices to drop quite a bit. Off the top of my head I would think $29 and some bennies would be pretty good in that area. The best part is OKC has a Jack in a Box where you can drive a trailer through the drive through.

I learned they were different companies several years ago when buying a PTO to drive a hydraulic pump. We pulled a crane off an old Kenworth and put it on a newer Freightliner and the Freightliner never had a PTO and it had a different tranny than the Kenworth so the old PTO could not be used.

So maybe you could be kinder when busting my balls for being uninformed, I could be a snow flake. I just heard Muncie and started reminiscing about the past, and felt all warm and fuzzy, then you have to kick dirt in my face,ha,ha,ha.

I may be of the snowflake generation, but I know the Muncie 4 speed was called Muncie because GM built it in their Muncie facility.

I was 18 years old and haven't done any research on the name since then. That was 43 years ago. That was a lot of concussions ago. All of my go fast days were between the ages of 16-19. At 19 I temporarily matured after blowing up a built 454, put the bone stock 396 back in, sold the 70 Chevelle SS and put the $4k down on a new Datsun King Cab. Did not do any major car work till I restored a 1972 Chevelle Malibu in 1993. That had a T-400 and I put a 350 cu. crate motor in it. That thing lived two years till a guy fell asleep at the wheel and almost hit me head on and totaled my car. Took what I got from that and put it down on a Toyota Prerunner extended cab.
