I just had this machined offered to me. Not sure what tooling comes with it. Looks like the power supply has been updated. Anybody have any experience with one? is it worth hauling it home?

If it is actually operational and you have a lot of patience and you are familiar with EDM and machining graphite and don't need anything super accurate or reliable..... Hard to turn down a free bee. If its working its better than nothing, but it may be a steep learning curve if you don't know EDM. Service and training will be hard to get in my opinion. Will present owner help?

Unlikely to get much help from the current owner. I don't think the person who ran it is around anymore. The most I could hope from them would be some odd tooling and a set of manuals. I no experience running one.

My buddy started his machine shop when it was just him with a machine a lot like that. No experience but he researched the Hansvelt manuals and made his first real good money. We had a bit of an edm desert. I’ll never forget one time him remarking that he made “doctors pay” that day.
