That trailer looked overloaded......
6 lug nut wheels, probably 3.5k axles x 3 = 10.5k total.
That Blanchard looks 15k-20k.

How many dents in the back sheetmetal ?
Did you get any stones/wheels ?
Dresser is a consumable as well.

Congrats!

I have the same machine. It's about 12k lbs. If the base is totally full of swarf add about a ton.

I just used mine yesterday to turn a bunch of torched off scrap i-beam flanges into the flatbar I needed.

Typically 6 lug wheels are 5k. 3.5k would be a 5 lug
Trailer axle ratings aren't really dependent on the lug pattern. I have 6k axles under my car trailer. They are 5.5" 5 lug. They use the same bearings and 12" brakes as modern 7k lb 8 lug axles. I've been over 10k lbs per axle numerous times. Enough miles to wear out all the spring hardware and 5+ sets of tires.

In all honesty, I bet having 5 lug hubs has saved me from state police attention and numerous big tickets.

I’m sure there’s oddball stuff out there especially with older stuff when trucking was the Wild West but modern stuff is pretty standardized. Dad has a small trucking company and we’ve had about everything you can think of. Typically 3.5k is a 5 lug 15”. 5k is a 6lug 15”. 7k is a 8 lug 16”. 8k is a 8 lug 17.5”. 10k is dual 8 lug 16”. Surely there must be different stuff out there but I’d say that’s 90% of what’s on the road.

It was a bit sketchy loading it up. I didn’t realize the tires were underpressure until the thing hit the deck and the rims almost touched the ground. Had to lift it back off and air them up to about 75psi before they looked like they would make the 50 mile trip. Fortunately it was all country roads and almost no traffic bringing it back.

Always happens with my wheelbarrow. Rolls fine empty. Shovel it full and the tire is all squashed out and it’s as far from an air hose as possible.

Whoah, that was a close one! I just checked the map and saw they are a little out of my range.

It’s been a while, but I’m finally digging into this thing. Got it off the trailer, pulled the guards off and started chipping away at the “mineral deposits”.

Didn’t get a picture of the full one, but I’m working on filling another
