That was only a matter of time. I didn't expect it to be Gibbs or Cimatron precisely, but the writing has been on the wall for a few years that Sandvik were trying to get into CAM more seriously.

FWIW, I have been a Sandvik customer for many years and they have always been reliable and relatively transparent about their dealings. That is to say that I trust them more than I trust a lot of other corporations that operate in our trade...

They have clout, and dare I say a little bit of integrity and respect for their customers. They might just be our saving grace against AD...

I just downloaded the latest version of Gibbs yesterday, and was testing the tool manufacturer add-ins. Sandviks was the only one that didn't work :ROFLMAO:. I think it will be good. Maybe they will start making bigger improvements vs trailing everyone by 4-5 years

Hi, Where do you suggest that I can get a copy of the latest Gibbs, I can only find the 2019 Version.?

Checking out their site, I couldn't find any pricing information. Any idea what a 3-4 axis mill package might run?
