Not trying to be a prick, but WTF kind of response is that? Do you have a solution or is that just your little rant? The issue isn't a simple as hp output. You need specific draw to and from the machine. If it's drawing xxkw it needs to be specific to that draw, plus provide the required hp.
Not a rant at all, that was my way of telling you that you may want to look elsewhere for a phase converter since 5hp units are commercially available for under $500.
I have zero financial interest in your purchase but I have built several converters so I have a good idea of what is inside them and what they are worth.
As far as draw, sizing, balance exc. At the end of the day none of that really matters unless you are running a CNC. It all sounds good on paper but a 1hp manual machine will run off a 50hp converter just fine.
If you overlook the start circuit all a rotary phase converter is, is a 3 phase motor running with some run capacitors hooked between the legs to balance the voltage. That's all there is to it.
Some companies may do some fancier things in an attempt to fine tune their units but in my experience it's not really needed.
