Who makes best 5c collets

I am not in a big rush, I would just like a nice set in good shape, easy to grab, I have a bunch that almost make 2 sets but many are banged up from 35 years, 12 people and quite a few jobs that they weren't always the right thing but rather the thing we had. I have at least 10 places I use them

The Swiss collets I was getting from S & M had carbide pads, that could have been why they were making them to order, they definitely aren't rare, they stopped stocking them years ago it seems. S & M was cheaper than Hardinge, but the lead time was the killer. Have you looked at Lyndex? Back when I was in Cali the local machinist supply store sold that brand of 5c and 16c they were nice quality, but that was a dozen+ years ago. I love your property pictures, they should be on postcards, calendars and puzzles.

Lyndex is also laser, The nice young lady at S&M these pics this am. We do have a lot of nice views from here.

I always found the Hardinge were the only collets that naturally sprung open.

Lyndex markings are worse than Hardinge for visibility.
