For Sale - N.O.S. Seco Inserts...

So I have a pile of now obsoleted, N.O.S. Seco brand carbide inserts, leftover from my days as a sales rep. Some of these grades are approaching obsolete for 10-15 years, but nevertheless, they're all "new" in that they're obviously unused... I really just want to get these out of my garage.

A quick note - Seco historically has tailored their range for steel/iron machining. If you mill/turn a lot of ferrous metals in a job-shop environment, this stuff will work well for you.

Milling Inserts - If you all have any older Seco brand milling cutters - OctoMills, QuattroMills, TurboMills - these inserts might serve you well still.

Turning Inserts - A host of ISO turning inserts available.



I need some help or ideas as to how to sell...

I was thinking originally about USPS flat-rate for the shipping. Also, I thought about $10 per box of (10) inserts, but I probably have (100) or more boxes of inserts to sort through... (I looked tonight, and was quickly surprised at how much was there.)


So, before I go through too much effort - If you have a favorite turning insert, or a vintage Seco milling cutter, please respond and I'll let you know what I have. Feel free to PM as well.

I am pretty partial to CNMG, DNMG, CCMT, DCMT insert geometry and turn a decent amount of steel and PH stainless.

I'd recommend usps small flatrate boxes or padded flatrate envelopes. You have to setup an account and order the envelopes online, but they are pretty great for $8.30 to anywhere.

Strange as it sounds I don't think I need any inserts right now.

Everybody seems to like WNMG 43X turning inserts. I have (56) pcs in various grades, chip breakers.

WNMG 444, (2) pcs. Requires a thinner shim - I can provide for you...

I love my Octomills! Any inserts for them? The inserts I'm using are OFER070405TN. I also have a Hi-Pro kit that I could use inserts for. The one cutter in the kit uses SEKR1203AFTN inserts. The other I'm not sure, it might be a Turbomill, I have no extra inserts for it. Holder is a R217.69-01.00-R8-13. Do you have any holders? "Kits" with holders and inserts would be a good seller.

Unfotunately, no kits. Only inserts left. I'll look for the Octomill inserts and others tonight.

Here's some more turning inserts - DNMG 443 inserts. Please note, these are thicker than normal, for heavier profile-turning.

DNMG 443 - (25pcs)
DNMX 443W - (3pcs) Wiper Inserts.

Does $20 sound good for this lot? Keep in mind, these are thicker than normal, and will require a thinner shim for your toolholder. (You could also throw a regular DNMG43x insert under these if you really had to, but I'd grind the corner-radius down to clear the 443's nose-radius.)
