Basic, but have you checked that the estop circuit isn't open somewhere? My old 0T-C starts up to that screen if it's switched on with the estop pressed, and stays like that until you release the estop and press the control on button.
Hello Garwood,Turned breaker off, turned breaker on
I pulled the face off the turret, but all else is intact. I don't think anything is amiss in there. Is the turret still taken apart? Maybe there is a proximity switch inside the turret looking for a signal.
Post a pic of the E-stop circuit so we can have a look. The more I think about it, hanging at that initial screen feels like the E-stop circuit is open.……I'm not sure if there's anything else in the estop circuit. Deawoo wiring book is kinda meh.
Never had barfeed, but does have conveyor.Do you have a bar feeder or chip conveyor that interfaces with the control? I've bumped the E-stop on my bar feed without realizing it and spent an hour trying to clear the alarm.
Good point! I didn't think about the I/O board swap relating to spindle issue.Usually the external encoder won't keep the spindle from running. First thing to do will be to return to the original I/O board.
I had this exact behaviour on one of my Victors at my old job. Like you say, no alarms, just horrible noises and jerking. Then went to start the spindle S200 M3 and it kinda growls and goes backward about 30 degrees and stops. No alarms.
